I'm Back!

I have missed this. I have missed you.

It’s been a long time, too long, since I sent my last email to let you all know I was taking a short break, but I am finally back!

Last year was a year unlike any other for us as a family, and all the plans and goals I set at the start of the year went out of the window. That’s OK; family has to come first.

I last spent any time in my business on October 15th. Today is my first day back. 1 week shy of 3 months, almost completely out of the business. Upon reflection, this was a monumental win for the business. Albeit a very strange feeling for me to adapt to! I achieved what many lifestyle entrepreneurs spend years striving for - FREEDOM.

However, I am stepping back into the business to take it to a new level. It’s clear I am not needed much for day-to-day, which is great, so I have been designing my new role. I am more excited than ever for this!

I have already been inundated with questions about my time off. Mostly, “You still worked behind the scenes though, right?” - Wrong. So, I am going to share my experiences with you in a future post. How I and my team prepared for this (it didn’t just happen). What went well? What I learnt. How can I help others do the same?

This brings me to my new role and this newsletter. I really enjoyed writing long-form posts with a deep dive every week, but being completely transparent took a lot, probably too much to maintain.

A major part of my new-look role in the business is to create and share more valuable content with entrepreneurs looking to create the business of their dreams, scale and exit for life-changing sums.

One of the reasons I paused this newsletter was to concentrate on my book. I did for a while, and then life hit. This is top of the agenda for this first quarter. While I write the book, a long-form post here every week is too much.

My plan is still to write a weekly post here on all things tax, tech and tactics but to make those posts a little shorter and easier to digest. Then, I do a deep dive on one topic once a month.

How does that sound to you guys? Would you get value from that?

As part of my pledge to produce more content this year, I am mixing up how this is delivered. I am working on short-form video content, mostly shared on my Instagram this quarter. A full long-form YouTube channel and podcast will be following later this year.

As always, I really value your feedback, so please reply with your thoughts on my plan and what topics you want to see me cover.

Until next week…
